Each supp. contains : 500 mg ibuprofen .
Analgesic and Anti-Inflammatory agent .
Dolofen is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory agent .
Dolofen possesses a high degree of analgesic , anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity effective in the relief of inflammatory and painful conditions .
Dolofen is exceptionally well tolerated . side effects , where observed , are usually of a mild or transient nature . patients who experience persistent gastric upset with other anti-rheumatic drugs and children who experience gastro-intestinal upsets with salicylates may take Dolofen without ill effects .

Dolofen is indicated for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis , osteoarthrosis and allied conditions , Non Articular rheumatism and soft tissue injuries . Dolofen is also indicated for its analgesic effect in the relief of mild to moderate pain such as dysmenorrhoea , dental and post operative pain , its anti-pyretic activity is effective in reducing fever .
- Adults : 2-3 suppositories daily . - Children : Dosage of Dolofen can be from 20 mg/kg body weight per day up to 40 mg/kg body weight per day .
In common with other potent , non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents , Dolofen should not be given to patients with active or severe peptic ulceration . Use of Dolofen during pregnancy should , if possible , be avoided . Dolofen should be prescribed with caution for those with asthma and especially for patients who have developed bronchospasm with other non steroidal agent .
Widespread use of Dolofen has demonstrated that it is extremely well tolerated . Adverse effects reported include dyspepsia , gastro-intestinal intolerance and bleeding , skin rashes of various types , and loss frequently thrombocytopenia has occured toxic amblyopia has occured very rarely but , in those cases reported , the patient recovered on cessation of treatment .
