A B vitamin found in foods like beans, lentils, citrus fruits, and leafy greens. Helps produce/maintain cells and prevent DNA changes that may lead to cancer.

Medical uses: Treats folic acid deficiency and related anemias. Used with other meds for pernicious anemia (but doesn't treat B12 deficiency).

• Don't use if allergic to folic acid
• Consult doctor if you have:
  • Kidney disease/dialysis
  • Undiagnosed anemia
  • Alcoholism
  • Infections
• Pregnancy Category A - Safe during pregnancy (dose may increase)

Take with full glass of water. Don't exceed prescribed dose.

Seek emergency help for: Allergic reactions (swelling, breathing difficulty)
